Ombre Lips
2012 was the year of ombre. Ombre hair. Ombre clothes. Ombre nails. Well my favorite way to wear ombre is on your lips. This makeup trend may sound a bit over the top, but trust me you can make it work in any situation. The trick is to blend the colors together enough so the ombre effect is very subtle.
I always start off with lip primer. Currently I'm using Too Faced Lip Insurance.
For this first look I am combining a dark purple and a bright pink shade.
Purple shade: Mac Rebel
Pink shade: Wet n Wild 511B
After applying lip primer, I dab some of the Mac Rebel on the inner part of my lips.
Then , using a lip brush add the second color (Wet n Wild 511B) around the outer part of your lips.
Using the same brush, blend the colors together where they meet. Feel free to add lipstick as needed.
Look 2:
Deep red shade: Relvon Black Cherry
Iliac shade: Relvon Lip Butter in Gumdrop
(Excuse my expression in this picture! My eyes were closing, but I like how the lipstick looks.)
Look 3:
Dark red shade: Revlon Lip Butter in Red Velvet
Bright red shade: Wet n Wild 519A
FYI: Adding a light red lipstick to the inner part of your lips creates the effect of fuller lips!
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial! <3 Dalilah
